“Share our vision of sustainable waste management, resource-based product design, localized and closed loop manufacturing.”
A Sustainable Model of Excellence & Leadership
Companies tend to create systems that result in what’s important to its leadership and internal corporate culture. BolderPathTM is an award-winning team of sustainability professionals, designers and educators. BolderPath is our shared vision of a system of sustainable methodology in waste management and resource-based product design with a localized and closed loop model of manufacturing. As reclamation engineers we maximize the value of textile and scrap resources; using almost exclusively reclaimed, up-cycled or recycled materials.
DiversionWorksTM offers three levels of partnership in waste diversion and second life product creation. We help companies find value in their waste, directly support their sustainability initiatives and work together to develop innovative marketing and measurable waste reduction solutions.
Products and Services
We feel our products are an extension of our beliefs and result from creating processes that value ecological and social equity more than anything else. We strive to give back more to the planet and people than the resources and impacts required for us to operate.

Transparency and Metrics
Transparency resides at the core of our company. Our sustainability revolves around metrics and tracking systems, is verified through annual and project reporting, and is managed with an Environmental Management System called our Bill of GreenTM. Since verification data for reclaimed materials is extremely new to the industry, we are on the cutting edge of developing incredibly useful and meaningful tools. DiversionWorks can calculate waste assessments, product conversion footprints and return on investment information.

Materials
Our mission is to maximize the value of material resources, especially ones that are reclaimed, up-cycled or recycled. American cities and towns are responsible for the disposal of millions of pounds of natural and synthetic rubber and vinyl plastics every year. Unfortunately, these substances are not feasibly recyclable or biodegradable and almost all if it is thrown out after a very short lifespan.
* Here are the details on what we reclaim: Reclaimed Materials.
Transportation Initiatives
Our reclamation vehicle runs on biodiesel and clean diesel. We limit our vehicle usage and track mileage and GHG emissions throughout our operations. In an effort to support human power and greater fuel economy, we track our employees’ transportation going to and from work.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Sustainability is not a destination but an ongoing commitment to making sustainable choices. In all phases of our business we reduce waste, energy, and water consumption. We are commercial partners with Eco-Cycle’s Zero Waste Program. Following The BolderPath Trail Guide we choose daily actions; like composting, purchasing used furniture and refurbished equipment whenever possible, using post-consumer recycled paper and office supplies, and the majority of our shipping supplies are reused resources from neighboring businesses.
Energy
We operate with minimal energy consumption and practice energy reduction initiatives on a daily basis. Although we still purchase conventional grid utilities our goal is to grow into a new, green build facility. Carbon credits are band-aids toward sustainable solutions in our opinion. The cost of offsets is not the best use of our limited funding given our operational efficiency without them. We’re saving up to build something much better.
Water
As a whole, we do not consume much water at all. Our largest use of water is for our bathroom and kitchen, then the cleaning and processing of reclaimed and up-cycled materials. Vinyl requires minimal water usage with our powerful, plant-based cleaning solutions. Inner tubes require the most amount of water for cleaning and we feel its resource value far outweighs this need. We are finding ways to clean more material at once with the same amount of water.
Biodiversity
Our entire company is aligned to enjoy and preserve natural habitats in a safe and effective manner. Areas that are high in biodiversity are extremely important to us. We do not negatively impact biodiversity or fragile habits in any way.
Emissions and Effluent
We address mostly air and fuel pollution as they pertain to our production and transportation activities.
