NOT ENOUGH WASTE ?
BolderPathTM can provide enough reclaimed material resources if you can’t supply your own, or your waste isn’t enough to produce the quantity of product you need. For large quantity orders there may be a procurement delay if we need to reclaim more material for your project.
PRODUCT & PROJECT METRICS
Diversion Metrics are included in all projects that are getting Hang Tags or Metrics Summary Reports. These metrics relate to the weight of all materials contained in your merchandise. The data is categorized by what is reclaimed, recycled and virgin, and the scrap rate. All weights are expressed as a percentage of the total weight of the product and 100% of product weight is accounted for.
Footprint Metrics are the most accurate, complete carbon footprint metrics available for each individual item we produce. The data consists of the following: the footprint of the new material you avoided by choosing to support repurposed textiles instead, and any impacts on water, energy and fuel consumption required to manufacture your project. Additional fees apply for this service and can be included on Hang Tags and Metrics Summary Reports.
Reclaimed materials are not consistent in color, finish or ‘newness.’ We maintain a stock of high quality raw materials but understand that variance will occur. Second life products are more unique and authentic because every piece is different, and you don’t have to compromise performance.
SHIPPING UMTs – UPCYCLED MARKETING TEXTILES TO BOLDERPATH
Shipping solid and mesh vinyl, barrier fencing: Please roll vinyl material onto itself or on a tube of some kind. Keeping folds and creases out of the vinyl will produce better products. Most shipping carriers accommodate tubes, or tubes in long boxes. Banners larger than 1200sqft and large volumes are best shipped LTR.
Acceptable Formats for Art Files: .ai, .eps, .pdf, .psd – please send only high res vector artwork.
Our graphic design rate is $40 per hour, which is incurred when your artwork and copy requires more than the appropriate amount of time to prepare for project. It generally should take around 15 minutes to create Hang Tags, fabric labels and screen printing setups with your supplied artwork, beyond this time you will be billed. We are happy to contribute creativity and business sense when composing your customizations if you need it.
Product development and feasibility study rate is $75 per hour. All meetings and property are confidential, you will get a detailed, sustainability-based explanation of your project and a professional finished package whether that be a Feasibility Report or production-ready prototype.
IF I SUPPLY MY OWN WASTE WILL THAT DROP THE PRICE?
Our processes are labor intensive, since we are cleaning your waste or someone else’s to make your products. Pricing is not affected whether or not you are supplying your own waste for merchandise. You can choose to pay freight to get us your waste, or we can absorb it into the project.
Standard terms are 50% down for all projects to begin and 50% at the time of shipment. We discount rolling orders and long-term contracts that have Net terms when they are paid early. On special occasions, we will assume more risk for a valued partner or opportunity; upon approval.
Order minimum per product style is 60 pieces unless approved.
Due to the dynamic nature of our business, sometimes we have to give final pricing only after we know the details of the project and in some cases we have your material in-hand. Materials sometimes require more handling and processing than the stock resources we price our products with. Please understand our profitability is necessary.
All customizations (i.e. screens, labels, patches, hang tags, etc.) are additional costs to the prices seen here, unless otherwise noted.
PROJECT START DATE
Project Start Date begins when we have a Purchase Order, a 50% deposit and your material in our possession.
EXPECTED LEAD TIME
Please allow 6 weeks from the Project Start Date until shipment; often we deliver before this time. There is a charge for rush orders. Complex builds and customizations may also lengthen lead times.
We can’t guarantee final quantities sometimes until we’ve processed all of your waste material. We can guarantee that your final quantity is delivered by inputting our material whenever necessary.
In the case that your project requires specific textiles and components that we don’t stock, you may be asked to pay for them shortly after your order is placed.
DESIGN SERVICE NEEDS
BolderPath design services are required for stock product modifications and custom prototypes. Stock product modifications are anything beyond adding or deleting the published Features Options to a catalog product. All custom builds are billable.
Product Design and Development is billed at an hourly rate of $75 per hour. We bill to the nearest 5 minute increment. Please inquire for a free estimate if needed. A free half-hour consultation via phone or at our studio is available for approved projects.
Payment for Design Services is due based on the complexity of the project. We bill per project phase or monthly if projected development is more than 30 days. For projects taking less than 30 days, your bill is due upon receipt.
