Robert Bogatin, President

I’ve chosen a Bolder Path my entire career, okay okay, my whole life. This company is the culmination of everything I have ever accomplished as a venture activist and utilizes my professional experience in personal and planetary health markets. Over the last 14 years, I have launched and assisted start-ups that have specialized in health and wellness products, renewable resources and sustainable consumer goods. I co-founded The Global View Foundation and HempTrends, and was a lead sales trainer for Renew Life Formulas. While at Ecologic Designs, I developed award-winning sustainability and educational systems and managed overall operations.

I wake up in the morning with the sole intention of creating opportunities for sustainable change. My staff and our corporate culture is where I like to begin, because the intimate environment of our personal lives is where the most amazing changes often occur. Then, my purpose is to operate a company based on sustainability, built on systems theory and driven by the best quality of product and service we can provide.

Deven Ralke, VP Product Creation

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, then moved to Colorado as a teenager and attended the University of CO in Colorado Springs. I studied studio art, began sculpting with textiles and later completed courses in fashion design at Emily Griffith Opportunity School in Denver. I have been designing sewn goods from repurposed materials professionally since 1995 and learned about many advanced construction techniques and industrial equipment. Over a decade in management has instilled a strong sense of efficiency, team leadership, quality assurance and responsibility in me. I have worked as a business consultant for domestic clothing manufacturers and as a designer, creating custom garments with reclaimed fabrics. I was previously production manager on the executive team at Ecologic Designs and became proficient in sourcing, cost analysis, pattern making and project management while becoming very familiar with local factories and suppliers. I am a resourceful design thinker and bring great enthusiasm to product development. When not at work, I design clothing and support the growth of my two amazing children. My sound background and lifelong commitment to the sewn goods industry combined with massive respect for our planet is a perfect fit for my role as VP Product Creation at BolderPath.

Shay Morrison, Lead Designer

An east coast kid, born and raised in true Pennsylvania amish country, I quickly realized that I was slated to be an artist before I was even born. My father Gil is an elite contractor specializing in old house reconstruction and mother Kim is an internationally renowned cake baker and sugar artist. As I saw it, take one part artist, and one part architect and the obvious outcome is an industrial designer. So I took my meager artistic talent and found the best art and design school in America to teach me how to prove the merit of the ideas in my head. Graduating Rhode Island School of Design with the Alexander Graham Bell award for excellence in design, may have been the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but the diversified cross platform skills instilled in me make me a veritable swiss army knife of a designer. Handling everything from inception design to final prototyping, graphic design to advertising campaigns, has given me the opportunity to work in more leaderships positions than most all of my peers. I moved to Colorado on a whim and haven’t been able to leave since. The respect for the environment we live in and the love of the outdoors found in Boulder are second to none, I’d never felt so surrounded by like-minded individuals until I was asked to design for BolderPath. What we do here is on the forefront of what we all need to be doing. I was told once if everyone does one helpful thing, we will change the world.. So this is mine, and I couldn’t be happier to be here designing products that will change how the world views reclaiming and recycling.

Kevin Snyder, DiversionWorks Director

I am thrilled to be working at BolderPath. For over a decade, I have directed programs that have empowered communities to reduce their ecological footprints and reconnect with the natural systems that sustain us. Never have I been as impressed with a company’s commitment toward sustainability as I have with BolderPath. Backed by a MS in Environmental Education from Lesley College and the Audubon Expedition Institute, I have dedicated my career to guiding individuals and businesses in the assessment and implementation of sustainable solutions. I am excited to stimulate and support DiversionWorks partnerships across all sectors. Most recently, as the Green Guy for Life is Good, I managed the greening of events for over 30,000 people that included a 92% waste diversion rate as well as set up a zero waste program at all facilities that reduced landfill garbage by over 750,000 lbs. I am jazzed to now be a part of a new paradigm shift in soft goods design and manufacturing: localized labor and supply, fair wages, reclaimed materials, true transparency and triple bottom line accountability as core competencies. BolderPathTM Partners can not only repurpose their waste streams, but magnify their marketing dollars and add extreme value to their company’s image. I look forward to working with you so together, we can design innovative products as well as be collective stewards of the planet.

Deb Henriksen, Lead Designer

I am a Designer here at BolderPath which is fulfilling to me both creatively and environmentally. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Colorado State University. Professionally I have obtained over 10 years experience in Hazardous Waste Management and am a LEED Accredited Professional by the USGBC. My background in the Environmental Sector provides me with a comprehensive perspective on design, landfill diversion, and the metrics involved with the products we develop at BolderPath. I am also an award-winning designer for my work with my “conscious-lifestyle” and street wear brand called Equillibrium. In 2006 I won a Master Mind Award in Fashion from the West Word. The following year, 2007, I was awarded a Rising Star Award from Fashion Group International. I love combining the worlds of science and art. My work at BolderPath encourages me to do just that!

Aaron Medeiros, Re-Source Manager

I’m most likely the luckiest team member here at BolderPath. Not only do I get to be part of a great group I get to learn a lot about a new industry; and a new way of thinking and doing business. I’ve worked in various warehouse environments before and BolderPath is by far the most responsible when it comes to being zero waste compliant. Being environmentally friendly is nothing new to me, it’s something I’ve been active with at home and around the community most of my life. One of the biggest reasons for that is my obsession with technology and seeing what new ideas are being utilized to minimize our impact on the planet. I grew up in California and moved to Colorado as a young teen and right then is when I realized what beauty our Earth has to offer. I began snowboarding, wakeboarding, mountain biking, hiking and enjoying the outdoors anytime I was given the opportunity. I appreciate what the Earth has given us and that’s why I’m so motivated to be part of an environmentally conscious company like BolderPath.

Aubrey Kyrsn Koplar, Designer

Originally from Boulder, CO, I have spent the last 8 years working in the garment industry in Chicago, New York City and Boulder. As design manager at Teko socks, I created a vast line of eco-friendly, sport specific technical socks. Teko has been recognized for environmental leadership in the outdoor industry, and I worked to keep those standards high and take them farther. I attended the Outdoor Industry Association’s Eco Working Group to collaborate with other companies in establishing guidelines and practices. With a lifelong passion for environmentalism and eco-design, I bring a consciousness aimed at replacing conventional materials with environmentally sensitive ones, and delivering a creative edge with everything I design. BolderPath is an exciting opportunity to create great quality and exceptionally useful products from materials that would have otherwise been discarded into our landfills, and I am pumped to be a part of this great team!
